UK premiere of the award-winning show from Italy.
CENTO COSE... the Hundred Things we do every day, even though they stand between who we would like to be and what we are forced to do.
Few words, three players, an Orwellian projected presence, a stompingly good soundtrack, lots of humour and physicality: a 50 minutes ride into the meaning beyond the surface of our daily routine: like a live, full-throttle videogame about our existence, only better. Welcome to the Machine!
This original work of physical theatre was first premiered in Italy, where it accumulated accolades and both critical and audiences acclaim. The initial response by the Italian public made the Compagnia della Quarta decide to bring it to Montreal in 2009, where it was awarded the Prix Mis en Scene – Theatre Festival Mont Laurier. This international success and the response from sophisticated Canadian audience (who gave a standing ovation) convinced the company to bring Cento Cose to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for 2010.
