Blood, Sweat & Tears - The Duet balletLORENT

"Liv Lorent was born to choreograph. Every move she creates, every piece of music she selects, is handed to the audience like a precious gift." Scotsman

"A powerful and emotive visualisation of the joy and struggles of parenthood" Chronicle Live

"Thought-provoking and moving, Blood, Sweat and Tears is a marvellous evocation of the effects of one of life's commonest experiences" British Theatre Guide

Liv Lorent, the choreographer behind the critically acclaimed, award-winning LUXURIA and tenderhook, now brings her own company balletLORENT to the Fringe for the first time.

The press adored both LUXURIA and tenderhook, with LUXURIA winning the Herald Angel Award on its first outing in 2006: "Thrilling technique and sheer expressive artistry make LUXURIA, yet again, one of the truly outstanding dance works on the Fringe" Herald

Featuring the outstanding dancers Philippa White and Gavin Coward, Blood, Sweat & Tears shows a couple experiencing a tender and all-consuming love for their newborn baby while fighting for each other's affection.

Costumes designed by Paul Shriek, lit by Malcom Rippeth, with original music and soundtrack by Ben Ponton, Blood, Sweat & Tears explores the darkness and light of extreme love.
